Unwelcome Encounter

This story was co-written by Clara in OR, who belongs to Cassandra. No, not the other way around. Thanks for everything, Clara!

Eli: Hey, you look nice. Got a date?
Cassandra: Yes... with you. I thought we should just go out tonight and have some fun. Are you available to do that?
Eli: How spontaneous of you, Tiny. Sure - sounds like fun. I know just the place.

Eli: Want to just grab your notepad there?
Cassandra: No, not tonight. We’re not going to even mention the research project tonight – agreed?
Eli: (dryly) I suppose I could manage to find something else to talk about.

Cassandra: (smiles) That should be no trouble for you at all, Eli. Shall we go?

Katerina: Hello, Eli.

Eli: Kat! What a surprise! What are you doing here?
Katerina: Shopping the outlets of course! And also…..

Katerina: …..looking for you, Sugar. Someone told me you moved to this area. Don’t you know how utterly tragic that was for our little burg? But especially for me …… (pouting) I can’t believe you left town without telling me where you were going!
Eli: (smiling) Eron had an opportunity here he didn’t want to miss. Didn’t have time to go through my little black book and send out notices. Are you in town for long?
Katerina: Mmmmm, that depends. Who's your little friend?

Eli: Who? Oh... you mean Tiny here? Katerina, meet Cassandra Godard. Cassandra is in town doing a research project that involves me.
Katerina: How utterly……. fascinating. Have you been able to gather much “data” on Lover Boy here yet?
Cassandra: I've accumulated quite a bit of “information” actually. I'm still in the process of assimilating it.

Katerina: There's certainly a lot of Eli to get to know.
Eli: (laughs) All right, Kat. Let's keep it cool here.
Katerina: Whatever you say, Sugar. Well, I'll see you around, Eli. Give me a call. I’d love to do more….. shopping….. anytime…… Nice to meet you, Tiny. Good luck on your... um... project. (Katerina leaves)

Eli: That Kat - what a gal. Great sense of humor. Imagine running into her like that.
Cassandra: (dryly) Yes, what a coincidence.
Eli: Well, want to get going? Are you ready to get out of here?
Cassandra: Yes, about 15 minutes ago.
