And For the Next Stop On Our Tour…

Kaida: OK, Tour’s over. Hey Asher, I’m taking off for the day, ok? C’mon Kohana, I need to get home.

Kohana: Goodness, Kaida. What’s your rush?
Kaida: Just trying to make it in time for a chat meeting. Can we go?
Kohana: Soon maybe, but I just got here. I want to meet Asher’s brothers. Where are they?

Kaida: I left Eron in the lobby shaking his head and muttering over “the sad state of the flora around here”. I think he likes that they’re neglected – gives him something to complain about.
Asher: Probably does, Kaida. We’ll just go say hello to him, all right? Surely you can wait a few more minutes for Kohana to take you home?

Kaida: If I have to. Is this going to take all day or what?
Kohana: I do not understand your impatience, Kaida. Let me at least have some time to meet…
Kaida: Oh all right! Sheeeeesh. I’ll just wait backstage, ok?

Kohana: I don’t know what’s gotten into her. Usually she wants to drag out our visits so long that I think she’d stay all night. And I’m not sure I buy that “chat appointment” excuse at all.

Asher: I gave up trying to understand Kaida a long time ago. She’ll be fine waiting. Hey, Eron, come and meet the other sister…

Eron: Hi. Uh….are you two ok now? When we left, things didn’t look too um…happy between you.
Asher: I’m fine now. We’re fine. More than fine……..Eron, this is Kohana, Kaida’s sister, and the real reason I missed Christmas this year.
Eron: Yeah? Nice to meet you, Kohana. I can see now why Asher changed his holiday plans.
Kohana: Why, thank you. It’s nice to meet you as well. I was pleased to have Asher visit on Christmas, but I was sorry he missed his time with you. If I had known…

Eron: Oh, don’t worry about it. We get together more out of habit than any real urge to see each other. Eli always does something off the wall to make us all regret it, too. Eli can be a little bit… where is he anyway?
Asher: I don’t know. I was expecting to see him out here with you. Didn’t Kaida show you both around?
Eron: She started to, but then I stopped to do a little botanical first aid here. Really Asher, these poor plants…
Asher: I know, I know. Sorry…..Hey, in lieu of rent you can put the greenery here back in shape for me, ok?
Eron: Not that you would have charged me rent anyway, but sure, I’ll be happy to nurse them back to health. Can’t stand to see the poor things suffer.

Asher: Anyway, Eli? Where is he?
Eron: He’s with Kaida, finishing up the tour I guess.
Kohana: No, she’s in the backstage area. She came back by herself….
Asher: I wonder if he did something to upset her? She was behaving kind of strangely when she got back. Well, strangely even for Kaida, that is. I don’t think he’d be stupid enough to try anything but then, they didn’t seem to be getting along all that well either.
Kohana: She seemed fine, Asher. It’s Eli who is missing. And come to think of it, Kaida might have been looking more guilty than upset.

Asher: What would she have to look guilty about? I’m sure she would have been an excellent tour guide. She loves showing the place off. She knows this place like the back of her hand and…uh, oh…..Kaida!
Kohana: What, Asher?
Asher: She knows this place a little too well, including, as she puts it, all the places you can hide a body!
Eron: Hey Asher….

Eron: You might want to get your plumbing checked out soon. The walls are thumping.
Asher: I hear it too, but it sounds like it’s coming from over there…. the passage leading away under the stage….

Asher: I have a bad feeling I know exactly what that noise is…

Asher: ……Eli!!!
Eli: Where is she? Where’s that undersized she-devil? She is so going to regret this!
