Life is a Stage

Kenzo: Wow…. Cool.
Kaida: Looks real different from here doesn’t it?
Kenzo: Yeah, sure does.

Kaida: You’ll have to get used to it. For when you become a famous concert musician. But hopefully you’ll have bigger stages with better acoustics to play on.
Kenzo: Yeah…. What’s it feel like to you? Being up here when the lights are all on and people watching you and stuff? You like it?
Kaida: Well, so far we’re just in rehearsals. But I can tell I am really going to like it, at least for a while.

Kenzo: Just for a while? How come?
Kaida: I think I told you I never stick with the same thing for long? Drives my sister crazy. I get a little obsessed, learn everything I can about something, and then move on. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever settle on any one thing, or if I’ll always be this fickle.
Kenzo: So you don’t have some big ambition to be an actor? You’re just doing this until the next thing comes along?

Kaida: I’m never sure. This is fun and I’m learning everything I can, but I know it might not last. Might just be just another stage I’m going through.
Kenzo: Oh, bad pun alert!
Kaida: Yup, caught me!

Kenzo: Maybe for a little while I did…… You…uh… don’t do this with guys too, do you?
Kaida: Do what?
Kenzo: The stage thing? Just passing through?

Kaida: What do you think?
Kenzo: I think I just hurt your feelings. Kaida, I’m sorry.

Kaida: It’s ok, probably a logical question once you find out more of what I’m like.
Kenzo: That might be the problem. I don’t really know you all that well. I see something different every time I’m around you. But Kaida?
Kaida: What?

Kenzo: I always like what I see.
Kaida: Same here.
