Return Engagement

Gideon: Mmm, Miss Lassiter, you do that so very well.
Devon: Can it, Gideon.
*seeing no need to defend herself further, Devon releases him and sits back down*

Gideon: And have you found what you were looking for …. again…… this time?
Devon: Enough to know that you’re not going to listen to reason.

Gideon: Then why the return engagement? Couldn’t stay away?
Devon: There are a few loose ends…..and don’t flatter yourself; I find you completely resistible.

Gideon: *exaggerated sigh* I suppose that’s for the best, since you’ve been assigned to “tail” me.
Devon: I’m not contracted to follow you.
Gideon: How disappointing. I was imagining a stakeout with you holed up in a seedy motel across the alley from my rooms, watching me through a high powered 'scope.
Devon: You watch too much television.

Gideon: My fantasies are much more fascinating than television, Miss Lassiter. Especially the ones in which you make an appearance. And in this particular one, you were watching everything I did…… so I put on a little show for you, a private one….
Devon: Don't be insulting.

Gideon: Calling you fascinating is an insult? So….. if your reasons for this little visit were not personal, to what do I owe the honor?
Devon: I thought we might discuss your father, and why you feel the need to follow in his footsteps.

Gideon: *much cooler* Is that what you think I am doing?

Devon: I know it is, and not only in your choice of career.

Gideon: Ah, so it was my loving half-brother who hired you. You know, I liked you from the first, Devon, and I know you’re only doing your job, but you’re wasting your time. You can tell Asher for me that….
Voice: Two minutes!

Gideon: And now it’s time for me to return to mine. I don’t imagine we’ll have the pleasure of a rematch, so I expect you will be able to see yourself out.
