Pain in the Neck (Part Two)

At the end of the an extra-long day of filming, Gideon catches up to Andrea as she is heading out of the studio

Gideon: Andrea! Glad I caught you before you left.

Andrea: *sighing* What is it now?
Gideon: Don’t look so annoyed. I wanted you to know that you can sleep in tomorrow.
Andrea: What!? No four a.m. coaching session?
Gideon: No four a.m. coaching. Tomorrow or in the foreseeable future. The director approved the dailies and it looks like everything is good to go. Congratulations. You made it through.

Andrea: *smiles* Hallelujah! Maybe now that it’s over, I can complain without sounding like a whiner. The hours were killing me.
Gideon: *smiling* Me, too.

Andrea: *teasing* Oh sure. You live and breathe your career – I doubt that you've ever cared about missing massive amounts of sleep in the pursuit of your goals.
Gideon: Getting you in shape to live and breathe it made it that much more difficult this time. Not to mention time-consuming.

Andrea: *still teasing* You were quite the cruel taskmaster. Unreasonable, unfair and unyielding...

Gideon: And you were a rather….. difficult student. Stubborn, irritable, even insubordinate.

Andrea: I need to get going. Maybe I can finally get a full night’s sleep and make this eternal ache in my neck go away. No, don't look at me like that. I'm not referring specifically to you being the pain in my neck, Gideon, although the thought did cross my mind. *grins*

Gideon: Turn around. If my unreasonable demands put the ache there, maybe I can help it go away.

Gideon: *rubs her neck lightly* Where does it hurt?
Andrea: Where my neck meets my shoulder….

Andrea: Here……..Mmmmmm, a little to the left. No, more to the right. Ah, that's it. Keep rubbing it just like that, Gideon.

Andrea: You've just about got it. Ah, that feels soooooooo much better.

Gideon: *turns her back around* You play that part all too well, Andrea. Unless you want to delay your full night’s sleep, you probably should leave now.

Andrea: All right. But I need to say something first, Gideon.
Gideon: Go ahead…

Andrea: Thank you.
Gideon: For the neck rub?

Andrea: For everything.
Gideon: You’re welcome.
