Neckties and Soft Sighs

Laurelin: Thank you for dinner.
Eron: Thanks for going with me.

Laurelin: It seems very strange, going out to eat a meal, when we might have had it here. Strange, but also very nice.
Eron: It’s a human dating tradition. People do it all the time.

Laurelin: And do people always dress in their finery to go out to eat as well?
Eron: Sometimes, depends on the place they’re going. The restaurant we went to tonight has a strict dress code. Men are expected to wear a tie.

Laurelin: I have never seen you wear a tie before.
Eron: That’s because I don’t like ‘em. They’re not all that comfortable.

Laurelin: I am sorry you were not comfortable, Eron.
Eron: Tonight it didn’t bother me so much. I was too busy thinking about how nice it was to be alone with you. I would have put up with a lot more than wearing a tie for that.

Laurelin: That is very sweet. I also was very happy to be alone with you.
Eron: And what do you know? We get back and the place is deserted. So we’re still alone.

Laurelin: You should not still be wearing this, since it bothers you.

Eron: Maybe not, but it would not be a good idea for you to help me take it off.

Laurelin: I was going to put it around my neck; for then I would know how much you put up with for me tonight.
Eron: I can just tell you how it feels. It rubs all around my neck under my collar, mostly because I’m not used to wearing one.

Eron: It rubs right about here…..

Eron: And sometimes back here………so you can see why I didn’t want you to try it on.

Eron: Wouldn’t want to take the risk of traumatizing this incredibly soft and delicate part here…

Laurelin: Eron, I….

Eron: Shhhhhhh….. Soft and sweet-smelling…..
Laurelin: *sighs*

Eron: Did you hear something?
Laurelin: No, I did not….only what you were whispering.

Eron: I distinctly heard someone sighing.

Laurelin: Yes, you did. *sighs again*

Eron: My sentiments exactly.
