Eron: Amazing. Incredible.
Laurelin: Yes, they are! I have never seen anything like them.
Eron: Amanita Muscaria. They’re supposed to be pretty common. But I’ve never seen them growing this large before.
Laurelin: They are not common where I live. Would they be good for eating?
Eron: No, they’re poisonous. Not as bad as some mushrooms, but if you ate enough, they’d kill you.
Laurelin: Even me?
Eron: I don’t know – you tell me.
Laurelin: I do not know either. Elves do not die from old age or disease, but I do not know about poison.
Eron: Uh…..let’s not try any experiments, okay?
Laurelin: Oh no! I would not do that!
Laurelin: Do you know anything else about them?
Eron: Well, these are pretty big – a lot bigger than the average.
Laurelin: Maybe…… this is a magical place. Maybe they are happy here, so they grow very large.
Eron: Or maybe they’re just growing under ideal conditions.
Laurelin: Oh no, Eron. I have decided; this is a magical place, and we are the first ones to discover it.
Eron: Whatever you say, Laurelin.
Laurelin: Do you not believe in magic, Eron?
Eron: I used to. Not so sure anymore.
Laurelin: We will have to see what can be done about that.
