Kaida's 2009 Valentine to Kenzo

Kaida has a faraway look in her eyes today…
No doubt she is thinking of Kenzo, so many hundreds of miles away…
…and yearning for….
Kaida: OK, Jill, that’s it - stop right there! You’re gonna make me sound like some pathetic, sniveling whiner if you keep on that way.
Me: But aren’t you wishing you two were together, today of all days?
Kaida: Sure, I’d rather be with Kenzo, and especially on Valentine’s Day. But I’m not about to lie around the house all day moping. What good would that do?
Kaida: I’m not going to get all “Ohhhhhh, my life is over because my boyfriend isn’t here on Valentine’s Day!”
Kaida: I might pine, but I refuse to whine.
Me: Well, that’s good, Kaida. Why don’t you carry on without me?
Kaida: Thanks, I’ll do that.
Kaida: Kenzo, I do miss you. But I’m not sad. I’m happy – and grateful. Even though it’s hard to be apart on Valentine’s Day, I can still be thankful that the greatest guy in the world is in my life, and that he cares for me the way I care for him.
Kaida: Thank you for the beautiful Valentine’s Day present.
Kaida: It was perfectly designed to remind me of you, even though I don’t ever need a reminder.
