Do You Think It’s Time?
Asher: Hey, I didn’t know you were here. What are you working on there?
Kohana: I brought Kaida and Kenzo over. And I’m making lists – I have so much to remember, so much to do still for the holidays.
Asher: Kohana?
Kohana: (distracted) Hmmmmmm?
Asher: Never mind, I don’t want to interrupt.
Kohana: It’s okay, go ahead. I’ll be working on this for a while.
Asher: I just was thinking…maybe it’s time…
Kaida: Asher, we’re going to go watch Pete demo his new sound board and then sit up on the stage – ok?
Asher: Sure Kaida.
Asher: *sigh*
Kohana: What is it?
Asher: Sorry, I really don’t want to take you from what you're doing.
Kohana: Don’t worry about it. I’m used to Kaida, remember? I can do two things at once, like listen while I make lists. Something on your mind?
Asher: I was just thinking…. Maybe it’s time to….(cell rings)
Asher: Damn. Sorry. I have to get this. (answers phone) Yeah? Now? All right, be right there.
Asher: You going to be here a while? I have to take care of something.
Kohana: Sure, a little while at least. I’m just waiting on Kaida and Kenzo.
Asher: I’ll be back soon.
(when Asher returns, he finds Kohana over by the curtain, watching the stage)
Asher: (whispering) What’s going on?
Kohana: Shhhhh. Kenzo has another surprise for Kaida. She’s finally going to hear him play….
