Happy Thanksgiving to all you turkeys out there

Eli: I mean turkey lovers, of course. Yeah, that’s what I meant. Anyway, thought I’d tell y’all a little about what I’m thankful for this Thanksgiving.
Eli: First off, I’m grateful to have a sweet, understanding, smart and beautiful girlfriend with a terrific sense of humor. And I’d say that even if Tiny wasn’t standing over there in the doorway with the carving knife. Honest.
Cassandra: (from off) Eli!
Eli: There’s some that might say we’re flash in the pan, me and Cassandra. That we’ll never last. Too many differences, they say. Nothing in common. Tiny tried to get away with that argument once herself, ‘til I showed her the light.
Cassandra: (from off) Eli!
Eli: We’re learnin’ the fine art of compromise. She’ll watch that occasional bowl game and I’ll dress up and hob-nob with her artiste pals. Personally, I think my sacrifice is a lot bigger, however…
Cassandra: (from off) Eli!
Eli: And maybe on the surface our compatibility seems like it’s limited to the obvious. Maybe those folk think I’m just bowled over by what a sweet kisser she is, or she’s just infatuated by my tremendously sexy….
Cassandra: (from off) Eli!
Eli: But if the truth be known, not only are we good with each other, and to each other, but we’re good for each other.
Cassandra: (from off) *sigh*
Eli: And that’s sure somethin’ to be thankful for, isn’t it?
