Drive Me Crazy

Eli: Hey great - you found my shades. Been looking all over for ‘em.
Kaida: Uh, yeah, here ya go.
Eli: So, Munchkin, what’s with the GI Josephine getup?
Kaida: Nothing. Nothing that’s any of your business.

Eli: Too bad you’re so rotten-tempered. I was gonna tell you it looks kinda cute on you.
Kaida: Yeah well, I might have an eensy, weensy bit of trouble believing you’d say anything that nice to me. Besides, it’s not mine.
Eli: Aw, too bad. Whose is it?
Kaida: Belongs in wardrobe. I……uh, borrowed it for something. But I have to return it, before um…never mind. What are you doing here?

Eli: Came to see if you wanted a ride home. Asher called, said Kohana is going to be tied up at school for a while. Insists he’s too busy to run you home; something about pacifying the costume mistress or something.
Kaida: Aaack. Poor Asher. Dolores is not fun to deal with. Guess I better not bother him any more today. But I don’t know about the ride - Kohana always said I shouldn’t accept rides with strangers, and I don’t know anyone stranger than you.
Eli: (laughing) Except yourself, maybe.
Kaida: Yeah, maybe. I keep it a lot better hidden though.

Eli: Hey, why bother hiding it? That would be like wearing a costume all the time. Like playing dress-up.
Kaida: Ha, ha, funny. Since you treat me like a child, you shouldn’t be surprised that I like to play dress-up. But I’m no little kid, you know.
Eli: Yeah, which brings to mind another question: why aren’t you driving yourself around? Aren’t you old enough, or do you just keep flunking your road test?
Kaida: I could drive – if I wanted to…

Eli: Well then, whatcha waiting for? My car’s so old I don’t think even you could hurt it. Wanna drive it?
Kaida: Could I? That would be really neat and…..no, I can’t.

Eli: Really, go to town. Test out my wheels. If the seat will go up far enough for you.
Kaida: I can’t. I don’t even have a permit.
Eli: That never stopped me. C’mon, you can just take it for a spin in the parking lot.
Kaida: No, I can’t. And stop tempting me to. I promised that….no, I just can’t.

Eli: Hey, I was kidding, Kaida. Just trying to see what you’d do.
Kaida: It’s not that I don’t want to drive, but I promised Kohana I’d wait until I was a little older. It’s important to her. Ask Asher why – he knows about it.
Eli: Sorry if I brought up a sore subject.
Kaida: It’s okay, how would you have known?
Eli: Well, I’m sorry in any case…..Aw geez, would you listen to us? We’re talking like regular people here. You better do something crazy real quick so I can get back to annoying you.
Kaida: Okay, How’s this?....

Kaida:Ya got to ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?!

Eli: Oh, great. Dirty Harriet in Munchkin Land.
