Confronting Draculina

This story was co-written by Clara in OR, who belongs to Cassandra. No, not the other way around. Thanks for everything, Clara!
Eli has arrived at Cassandra’s home and Marty Jean has let him in as she promised. But it it’s not Cassandra who is waiting…

Eli: I was expecting Cassandra.
Draculina: I'm sure you were.
Eli: Is she here?

Draculina: She's unavailable…. for the moment. *narrows her eyes at him and starts circling*

Draculina: Well, well, well…

Draculina: Our little Cassandra likes them tall, I see - and a bit cocky too.

Eli: What's that got to do with anything?
Draculina: You might want to watch your tone here. Keep in mind who you are dealing with. And move your hair out of your face. I want to see those eyes.

Eli: Listen, I don't mean any disrespect, but I'm getting a little tired of the run around. I call Cassandra, she won't answer. I leave her a message that I'll meet her; she doesn't show up. I get to deal with her little sister, who talks to me one minute and hates me the next. So I come down here; now I get to deal with you. Sorry, but none of this is anyone's business but mine - and Cassandra's.
Draculina: How wrong you are, Eli. What happens in this household is very definitely my business.... and you would be wise to remember that.

Eli: She won't thank you for keeping me away from her.
Draculina: Mmmm, there's that arrogance again. Maybe she won't. But popularity has never been as aspiration of mine. Are you catching my point yet, young Eli?

Avenyon: Just answer one question for me, Eli.

Eli: *sighs* What?
Avenyon: Do you love Cassandra?

Eli: It's not that simple. You know, I could just tell you yes, get you on my side. But I’m not going to do that. Because I just don't know. And if I did... I'd be damned if I'd tell either of you two first.

Avenyon: That’s as it should be. If you had sworn your undying devotion, I would have just showed you the door. As it is, I think you're as confused as Cassandra. I think you both deserve a chance to make things right. So, Draculina, let's you and I step aside and let them sort their business out.

Draculina: Well, he didn't run - I'll give him that. *flashes a toothy grin at him, but Eli remains unmoved* All right, Avenyon. But did you notice - he has beady eyes. Never a good sign if you ask me.

Draculina: Cool as grass, that one. How annoying.
