Befriending Ben Bluefield

Ben: Hey.
Jeremiah: Hey.
Ben: Mind if I sit over here?
Jeremiah: No, go ahead. Not too easy finding a quiet place in here today.
Ben: Midterms.
Jeremiah: Yeah. Hey, you’re in my Psych class, right?
Ben: Uh-huh, I usually sit in the back. Guess I’m kinda hard to miss, anyway. *grins* You, too.
Jeremiah: You got that right. Get your paper done yet?
Ben: Just about. I was hoping to do a little more research on the campus network today, but all the computers are busy.
Jeremiah: You don’t use a laptop?
Ben: No, don’t have one.
Jeremiah: Here -- *slides his laptop over in front of Ben* Use mine – I have to get some reading done, anyway.
Ben: You sure? *Jeremiah nods* Thanks. I appreciate it. By the way, my name’s Ben. Ben Bluefield.
Jeremiah: Jeremiah Bennett. Good to meet you.
Ben: Same here.
Ben: Hey, thanks Jeremiah. This saved me a lot of hassle.
Jeremiah: No problem – you get everything you need?
Ben: Yeah…… I emailed a bunch of stuff to myself – I’ll print it out at home. Hey… can I just check out a couple more things? Not for my paper, though…
Jeremiah: Sure – go for it.
*Ben looks up the info he wants and can’t quite suppress an exclamation of excitement.*
Ben: Sweet!
Jeremiah: What is?
Ben: This uh… music festival. They’re going to stop close by so I’ll get to go.
Jeremiah: Yeah, who’s playing?
Ben: You wouldn’t know ‘em. They’re all like, regional.
Jeremiah: Country Western?
Ben: No, not exactly. They’re… um… Bluegrass.
Jeremiah: So sorta like folk stuff, huh? That’s cool.
Ben: Yeah, kinda like that. Hey, I gotta go, but thanks for letting me use your laptop. *slides it back over in front of Jeremiah*
Ben: Appreciate it.
Jeremiah: No problem. See ya in Psych.
*After Ben leaves, Jeremiah looks down at his computer, and noticing the browser was left open, and curious, he hits the tab to look at the site Ben was viewing last.*
*Intrigued, he hits ‘back’ a few times, becoming more and more fascinated as he reads….*
