Asher: These boots may have been the problem, Shortstuff.

Kohana: Kaida! I’m home – what do you know about the…. Oh, what on earth are you…Oh!….. um…..hello. I suppose that must be your car in the driveway?
Kaida: Aneko, this is Asher. He drove me home from the audition today. See, I was trying out for that part and…

Asher: I’m very pleased to meet you…Aneko?
Kohana: No, actually it’s Kohana, Kaida just likes to call me that because well, it’s kind of a nickname and…. Aneko just means “older sister” and…oh I am sorry, you don’t need to hear all that nonsense and…Kaida! Why are you still sitting down; where are your manners?

Asher: Maybe I can explain. You see, the little one here had a slight mishap at the theater today and…
Kaida: LITTLE ONE? Sheeeeesh I bet everyone is short compared to YOU!

Asher: You could be right there, kiddo. Anyway, Kaida did a number on her ankle, twisted it pretty good. So I offered to bring her home.
Kohana: Oh Kaida! How badly is it hurt? Why didn’t you go straight to the emergency room? Are you able to stand on it at all?

Kaida: Nah, it’ll be ok, Sis. Just twisted it really, and it hurts to walk on it. Bet I’ll be good as new in a few days. Just my luck it happened right before the weekend and now I probably won’t get to miss school or anything. But it sure will keep me from going to the mall. Sheeeeesh.
Kohana: Well I see you have ice on it. Asher?--Your doing? Thank you, I’m sure she will be just fine now. Thank you for taking care of Kaida – we won’t hold you up any longer.
Kaida: What’s the rush? Can’t he stay a little longer? Bet he’d love to tell you how I injured the da…DARN thing anyway.

Kohana: NO! I mean, no that would not be a good idea, Kaida. I have something serious I need to talk about with you and…
Asher: And I need to get back to the set. See you at the next audition, Shortstuff?
Kaida: I guess, maybe. Sheeeesh - you’d think they would have picked me for an important part by NOW, ya know?

Asher: Sorry, Kaida, I watched your audition and I have to be honest with you- You need to learn more skills first as part of the regular company, work on the basics, stuff like that. It’ll come but you have to pay your dues like everybody else.
Kaida: Humph, pay my dues, you’re no help! But hey, thanks for the ride. See you around!
