Anticipation

Kohana: You’re going to wear out the carpet.
Kaida: All right, all right, I’ll sit down.

Kohana: That chair won’t last long with you flopping and bouncing in it.
Kaida: Sorreeeeeeeeeeee…just can’t help it!
Kohana: A little excited, are we?

Kaida: Well yeah, just a little!
Kohana: The big day will be here before you know it. Try to think of something else.
Kaida: I can’t! I just can’t wait until Kenzo actually gets here!
Kohana:Then find something to do to keep yourself busy.

Kaida: Arrrrrgh this is driving me nuts.
Kohana: You’re acting like a kid at Christmas.
Kaida: Well? Isn’t that what I am, kinda?
Kohana: I suppose.

Kohana: Go read a book.
Kaida: Tried. Can’t concentrate long enough.
Kohana: Email your friends?
Kaida: Already have. I think they’re all tired of hearing from me.

Kohana: Study your dialogue. Rehearse your part.
Kaida: What? All thirty seconds of it? I memorized that weeks ago!
Kohana: I could find something for you to do if you’d like.
Kaida: You’ve already made me do most of the housework this week. Because of your exams.

Kohana: Awww, poor dear. It was nice, having you cover my chores for me. Maybe we’ll make the arrangement permanent.
Kaida: What? No way, I plan on being really, really busy in the next few weeks, you know that!
Kohana: Just checking to see if you were listening to me. Really, Kaida, try to get your mind on something else – the time will go faster for you.

Kaida: Will you take me down to the theater? Maybe they have something I can do there.
Kohana: I guess I can. Go call Asher, see what he says first. I would hate to foist you off on him if he’s too busy to keep you entertained. Oh, and Kaida?
Kaida: What?

Kohana: Find out what he’s doing for his holiday dinner. Invite him if he’s free. I think you owe him something for all the times you hang around and annoy him.

Kaida: Oh I owe him, do I? Sure it’s not because you want him to come over?
Kohana: I just thought it would be nice to offer. Chances are he’s busy anyway.

Kaida: (to herself) Chances are he’ll change his plans even if he is, dear sister.
