Kohana: Hello? Anyone around? Kaida? Asher?
Asher: Hi there. Are you my angel of mercy?
Kohana: No, I’m from procurement. I understand you have a dire need?
Asher: Angels come in all forms - this afternoon it’s coffee delivery. Thanks, Angel. You have NO idea how much I need this.
Kohana: Where’s the other guy?
Asher: Other guy? Oh…. you mean the other guy who ordered coffee? He had to leave to pick up some supplies. Darn, Kohana, maybe I can drink his too so it doesn’t go to waste. Sorry about that.
Kohana: Oh don’t worry about it, I’ll have the other one. It will stay hot until I get home. Let me take that bag out of your way - I know you’re busy.
Asher: I have a few minutes. Sit down. Join me. I’ll be human again in a minute and I can talk to you.
Asher: Hey, you have my favorite boots on again! Aren’t you worried about tripping and falling?
Kohana: Oh stop! I wasn’t planning on coming inside today actually, but someone’s “coffee emergency” made it necessary. Believe me, I will watch out for all the cables this time.
Asher: So what are you up to this weekend? Christmas shopping?
Kohana: Oh, don’t remind me I still have that to do. Exams are just a few days away, so I’m staying in and studying. Shopping is just going to have to wait.
Asher: You don’t like shopping? Most of the ladies I know really love it.
Kohana: No, I can’t stand shopping. Most times it’s kind of a necessary evil. I guess I’m not much like most of the ladies you know, am I?
Asher: You can say that again. But Kohana….
Kohana: Hmmmm?
Asher: I like what’s different about you.
Kohana: Well um…thanks. You’re really different from most of the friends I’ve had, too. I don’t think we have very much in common.
Asher: Maybe, maybe not. Is that a problem for you?
Kohana: I’m still trying to figure that out. I don’t think so…
Asher: Well when you figure it out, let me know, ok? But in the meantime….I have something for you. Let’s call it a little reward for bringing me my coffee.
Kohana: Oh you didn’t have to….it wasn’t at all necessary……
Kohana: Ok, you got me - what is it? Whatever it is, you’re looking pretty smug about it.
Asher: It’s more of my script. But if you’re too busy studying…..
Kohana: No, not that busy. I’d like to read it – I must say it took you long enough!
Asher: Yeah, took a whole three days. Here you go. As promised.
Kohana: Thanks! …. I …..guess I’ll see you later.
Asher: Guess you will. Thanks again for being my “angel!”
Kohana: I’ll just fly on home and polish my halo, shall I?
Asher: No polish necessary, Angel. None at all.
