Kaida’s Surprise, Part Two
Kaida: (still grumbling) So Kohana says “Why don’t you go down to the theater today and help Asher out, Kaida?” And Asher goes “Help Pete with the sound, Kaida.” Then Pete gets bossy with me, “Go out to the lobby and see if my new sound guy got here yet, Kaida”…..Gosh, you’d think no one wanted me around.
Kaida: Everyone wants to get rid of poor unappreciated Kaida….(grumble, grumble)
Kaida: Hey, are you here to help Pete with the sound? I’m supposed to….
Kenzo: Who’s Pete?
Kaida: OH! Kenzo!!!! Oh wow, oh wow, oh WOW, you’re HERE!
Kenzo: Hey Kaida.
Kaida: I can’t believe you’re here! You weren’t supposed to be here for five days yet…. five days, fourteen hours, thirty three minutes and…
Kenzo: I wanted to surprise you, and Kohana helped. So, did it work? Are you surprised?
Kaida: I am! This is the best surprise ever! I’m so happy you’re here!
Kenzo: Yeah, me too. And guess what?
Kaida: What?
Kenzo: I can stay the whole time I planned to. I don’t have to leave five days, fourteen hours, and thirty three minutes earlier!
Asher: You pulled it off. She sure is surprised.
Kohana: I’m so glad it worked out. Thanks for helping.
Asher: Time to give them a little privacy?
Kohana: Maybe, but only a little…
