Happy Birthday, Asher!

Today marks three years since I received my first Dollshe Boy, a version 1.5 Hound who I named Asher. A lot of you probably know that Asher has become a great favorite of mine (and Kohana’s!) and that having him come to live here started me on the slippery slope to collecting my small army of Dollshe boys. They are all big favorites now, but Asher was and is the most dear to me. Here’s a little birthday retrospective for you….

Except for a couple people on my frequent emailing list, and a few more in a chatroom I visited, no one saw Asher until his first appearance in a photostory, September 30, 2006, more than two months after he arrived.

He quickly became one of my principals, and a few months later, had situated himself solidly into Kohana’s life, right where he wanted to be.

Since that time, Asher has become the hub of my resin world, the central character around whom everyone else’s storyline revolves. (If you don’t know how the stories all relate to Asher, a connection will eventually be revealed.) After his friendship with Kaida and his relationship with Kohana were established, his brothers showed up on the scene:

He picked up a few staffers for the theater…

A couple more brothers….

And confessed to his beloved about what haunted him most…

Asher is always busy, but he always makes time for the girl he loves…

He’s crossed the country with me several times, and even taken a Caribbean cruise…

…And withstood character assassination attempts at the hands of my youngest son.

Asher has had three summers, three falls, three winters and three springs with me. Kohana and I both hope he has at least a hundred more.

Happy Birthday, Asher!
