Gideon: Raining Men Theme
Originally posted on April 16, 2008
In observation of the "It's Raining Men" theme on one of the boards, I highlighted a different man each night for several nights running. This is Gideon's post...
Gideon reminds me that beauty IS only skin deep (man theme post)…>>>
…or in this case, only resin-deep. Gideon is recent addition to my ever-growing cast of characters. Since he was introduced last October, his personality has failed to endear him to anyone, resin OR human. But darn, he sure is pretty…..

Gideon Bennett, older brother to Jeremiah and half-brother to Asher, Eli and Eron, is a stage actor with a lot going for him. Talent, good looks (Yes, I know I’m biased) a face that is capable of a myriad of expressions. Here’s a small sampling of what he can do with that face of his…
Earnest:

Annoyed:

Disdainful:

Arrogant:

Persuasive:

Uncaring:

Thoughtful, perhaps a bit regretful:

Serene:

Sad:

Dreamy:

As was the case with Eron, I once considered a Dollshe Bernard to play Gideon’s character. He would have been the SA Bernard sculpt, because the regular guy is just too full of wide-eyed innocence to play such a devious, potentially shady character. Once again, a fortuitous FS post changed my mind. I saw a custom painted, slightly modded SA Hound head offered on DoA by the artist (Aslah) who gave him his face-up, and knew immediately that Gideon should more closely resemble Asher, but with a haughty coldness as opposed to Asher’s open, friendly look. There is enough difference between the two, from the modifications and custom face-up, that they don’t quite look like twins, but it’s close.

Their similarities end with their faces. Where Asher is loyal, Gideon is self-serving; where Asher is kind and considerate, Gideon is self-serving; where Asher has high moral standards, Gideon has…. a self-serving attitude. He’s a hedonist with a taste for the good life, but he’s not lazy, although, like any Dollshe guy, he lounges beautifully….

Reclining or not, you can be sure his mind is working to turn things his own advantage, no matter what the cost to the half-brother whose happiness he resents so deeply.
