Eron: Raining Men Theme

In observation of the "It's Raining Men" theme on one of the boards, I highlighted a different man each night for several nights running. This is Eron's post...
Eron: an exercise in recognizing potential and being flexible…>>>
To begin with, my quiet twin wasn’t all that impressive. This is a photo from his auction, and it was truly the roughest of rough drafts for the guy he would eventually become. I am grateful to this day, though, that he was represented like this in the auction. It took someone who knew the wonderful potential that Saint has (my friend Shelly!) who also had an eye for a bargain, and the generosity to pass him along to me for what she paid, to help me bring this rough draft into my home for me to begin the creation of Eron’s character.

I had at first planned on getting Dollshe Bernard to represent Eron. Bernard looks enough like Saint that he could easily be a (fraternal) twin, and that was the original plan. But I can be flexible, especially when such a lucky break comes my way. My newly acquired Saint turned out to be the SA sculpt (not apparent to me in the auction pictures) and as such was just right to play Eli’s identical twin brother. The face-ups were both from Dollmore, so were very similar, yet there were plenty of small differences to distinguish them. So Bernard was put on a back burner, my new SA Saint took his place, and now I can’t imagine Eron any other way.

An immediate wig change softened his face tremendously, but he still looked somewhat severe to me. His personality, like Eli’s, was in place long before I got him, so it just would not do to have him look like that. I decided the problem was with his mouth, which, although nicely done by Dollmore, was too dark and small and defined to allow him to look the way I “saw” him in my mind’s eye. So both he and Eli went off to have “lip jobs,” which were done by the very talented Switchblade.
As a result, they came home looking like this…

My Williamson family was now complete…. well, sort of……even though I still had work to do on Eron’s signature look.

Eron still looked a little bit too aloof. Yes, he’s quiet, and yes, a private person most of the time, but I didn’t want him to look so unapproachable. Then I came upon the coolest eyeglasses I’d ever seen offered for BJD’s, and Eron tried them on. Bingo!
Eron went from this…

To this:

I still photograph Eron often without his glasses; after all, many people who need glasses don’t wear them all the time. He looks equally good to me both ways.

OK, enough boring background detail: time for some pure Eron spam:

Sorry for all the picspam. I get carried away sometimes.
