Donovan: Raining Men Theme

In observation of the "It's Raining Men" theme on one of the boards, I highlighted a different man each night for several nights running. This is Donovan's post...

When Elfdoll released pictures of their full set “K” some months back, I didn’t really care enough for his face to order him. I didn’t dislike him, but he just didn’t speak to me. You know how it is. However, when the actual owner photos started appearing, I sorta changed my mind….
Elfdoll K has a “difficult” sculpt – at first I thought it would be hard for me to get the expressions from his face that I wanted, but he surprised me. With the addition of a wig that partially covered his sculpted “frown lines”, and finding that his face photographed differently on one side than the other, Donovan soon became a favorite subject for my pre-character photo-shoots.
I purchased Donovan on the secondary market, and he wasn’t here more than a few days before he answered a post by a golden-skinned, Sicilian beauty looking for a “real man” right here on the board……
Donovan isn’t often so blatantly flirtatious; but then he’d never met anyone like Elena before, either…I think the speed at which their flirtation heated up may have surprised the two of them.
Donovan’s role in my stories is as a successful stage actor apprenticing as a director, a new employee of the theater where Asher manages the stage. Donovan didn’t do a great job with first impressions when he arrived on the scene. His high-handed manner put Kaida and Pete off almost immediately, but he was quick (and smart) enough to make amends.
Eventually Donovan was able to meet the lady he had been flirting with online. He surprised her with a visit once last summer , and showed up for a bit longer stay this past fall.

More of his story will be told eventually. And his presence may very well spawn new characters, because the character ‘Donovan Parkes’ comes from a large family – he has five sisters!
